Another rest day at the hotel Trübsee along with approximately 1,000,000 tourists. Stay tuned for more adventures. By the way got new poles. The same poles as the old ones. So now I have three poles. Not sure what to do with three... If I break any more I will be changing brands.
Afterthought: it is actually a big culture shock to stumble out of the mountains after a few days of semi-isolation and to be thrust into the midst of high tourist stuff. Really a discontinuity! From friendly gasthaus owners and fellow walkers to rude urban tourists... It was unbelievable the number of buses at the bottom of the Titlis gondola. The best thing was they all magically disappear at about 5pm, after which we had the place to ourselves.
