We made it to Altdorf, home of William Tell. It was a good day's walk from Urner Boden to Unterschächen (taking buses to shorten things a bit). The Klausenpass is actually a 2 day walk if you do the whole thing, with quite a bit of road walking.
We actually did the Klausenpass in 1997, starting from Braunwald (which we reached by helicopter but that's another story) and camping along the way.
This time we took a different route, which was much more scenic. And we got up close and personal with some cows.
Now taking a day off in Altdorf!
